Mr. Bruno Joseph Scopano
Batavia - Mr. Bruno Joseph Scopano, age 68, of Batavia, master electronics technician for General Electric in Rochester, died Thursday, June 19, 2008 at United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia.
Mr. Scopano was born December 8, 1939 in Batavia, a son of the late Carmen Samuel and Lillian Garrow Scopano.
Mr. Scopano was a member of Resurrection Parish and served with the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife, Rose M. Steffenilla Ladd-Scopano; three daughters, Cynthia (Richard) Rada of Batavia, Carol (Robert) Gruber of Lakeville and Christina Scopano of Batavia; a step-son, Duane Ladd of Olean; a step-daughter, Debra (Tony) Licata of Batavia; a brother, Carmen Scopano of Oakfield; five sisters, Mary Cooke of California, Cecelia Vinuto of Florida, Annette Catanese of Avon, Lillian Pridmore of Georgia and Linda (Donald) Engle of Elba; 12 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
He was the brother of the late Fred Besaw, John, Henry and Frank Scopano.
There are no prior calling hours. His Memorial Mass will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. at Resurrection Parish - St. Mary's Church, 18 Ellicott Street, Batavia. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Resurrection Parish - St. Mary's Church, 303 East Main Street, Batavia, New York 14020.
