Age 90, November 11, 2014, at home in Tonawanda, NY, beloved husband of 67 years to Elinor (nee Hawkins) Krafchak; father of Rev. Barbara K. (Rev. John L.) Tipton, David A. (Karen Battaglia), Todd M. and Nancy L.; grandfather of John A. Tipton; brother of Teresa Potopchuk, Anne, and the late Stephen II, Helen (John) Milley, and James; also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 15th at 11 AM at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 724 Delaware Ave, Buffalo NY. A reception at the church will immediately follow. After starting as a Draftsman's Apprentice in 1947 at E. & B. Holmes Machinery Company, Inc. he retired as owner and president in 2002.
He was a 58 year member of Westminster Presbyterian Church where he taught Christian Education for 12 years and was an ordained Elder. He served in the United States Navy as an Electrician's Mate from 1943 to 1946.
