Waterport - Miss Annabel Louise Winters, 81, of Waterport, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at the Batavia Health Care Center.
Miss Winters was born February 21, 1932 in Wyckoff, New Jersey, a daughter of the late Samuel and Florence Morgan Winters.
She graduated from Ramsey High School in 1949 and received a three year certificate from the Providence Bible Institute in 1953.
Miss Winters joined Bible Centered Ministries in 1953 and since that time has served faithfully in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and later in New York State. She has ministered to young and old through Bible Clubs, Mailbox Clubs, Pre-school Club and Nursing Home Ministry. She retired on October 1, 2013.
A member of East Shelby Community Bible Church in Medina, she devoted her life to teaching children about her Lord by conducting Bible studies for many children in Niagara and Orleans counties.
She is survived by three nephews, Thomas Taylor and Charles Taylor of California and Henry Winters of South Carolina and several special friends, Roberta DiRamio, Carol Lonnen, Paula Nesbitt, Cheryl Olsen and Susanne Papalia.
She is predeceased by her brothers Henry Winters of Colorado, Howard Winters of Ohio, her sister, Harriet Winters Taylor of California and her dear friend in the Lord Vera M. Clark.
There will be no prior visitation. Her memorial service will be held on Sunday at 4 p.m. at the East Shelby Community Bible Church, 5278 East Shelby Road, Medina.
