Oakfield - Mr. Anthony P. Perozzi, 86, of Oakfield, passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at United Memorial Medical Center.



Mr. Perozzi was born December 19, 1927 in Oakfield, a son of the late Joseph and Elisa DiMassimantonio Perozzi.



A former member of St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Oakfield, Mr. Perozzi was a member of the American Legion and the former St. Nicholas Club. He proudly served with the United States Army during the Korean War.



He had a great love for animals, especially his cat, and would always feed woodchucks, squirrels and birds.



His wife, Norma F. Reinhardt Perozzi, passed away on January 28, 2007.



He is survived by his son, David (Diane) Perozzi of Oakfield; his brother, Frank (Ann) Perozzi of North Chili; his sister, Lillian (late Don) Weidner of Oakfield; his brother-in-law, Mario Ianni of Lockport and several nieces and nephews.



He is the brother of the late Gina Nanni, Maria Ianni and Nicolina Smart.



Friends may call on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Burdett & Sanford Funeral Home, 11 Maple Avenue, Oakfield, where services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. (PLEASE NOTE NO SERVICES ON FRIDAY). Memorials may be made to Volunteers for Animals, P.O. Box 1621, Batavia, New York 14021 or to the Visiting Nurses Association, 61 Swan Street, Batavia, New York 14020. Burial will be in Cary Cemetery, Oakfield.
