Oakfield - Audrey L. Plouse, 90, of Oakfield, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2016 at the Batavia Health Care Center, LLC.
Mrs. Plouse was born April 29, 1926 in Sagamore, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Elwood and Irene Anderson Caylor.
Mrs. Plouse traveled extensively, loved reading and spending time with her dog Trouble. She spent much time socializing with her many friends she met while playing Bingo. She worked for many years at G.T.E. Sylvania in Batavia and was the first female hired to work in the maintenance department for the company.
Her husband, Arthur C. Plouse, passed away in 1978.
She is survived by her children, Cliff (Rita) Plouse of Oakfield and Sandra Shutt of Jefferson City, Missouri; two grandsons, George and William Shutt; her sister, Ruth Yeomans of Creekside, Pennsylvania and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Burdett & Sanford Funeral Home, 11 Maple Avenue, Oakfield. Private graveside services will be held at Cary Cemetery. Memorials in Audrey's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Western New York Chapter, 2805 Wehrle Drive, Suite #6, Williamsville, New York 14221-7380.
