Betty Peters

Stafford - Betty Peters, 92, of Stafford, passed away Saturday, (July 8, 2017) at Premier Genesee Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, in Batavia. Mrs. Peters was born August 18, 1924 in Batavia, a daughter of the late Henry and Bertha (Killian) Hahn. She was a member of the St. James Episcopal Church in Batavia. Betty was the wife of the late Donald Peters. He passed away in 2012. Surviving is her daughter, Darleene (Temple Lewis) Peters of East Bethany; a sister, Wanda (Chester) Nicholson of CA; nephews, Paul (Janet) Demko of LeRoy, and David Demko of Batavia. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. Betty is preceded in death by a brother, Vaughn Hahn and a sister, Helen Demko. There will be no visitation. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Volunteers For Animals, P.O. Box 1621, Batavia, NY 14021. Burial will be in Stafford Rural Cemetery, Stafford. Arrangements were entrusted to the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, Batavia.
