Batavia - Beverly A. Shaw-Miller, 54, of Batavia, passed away on Friday (July 24, 2015) at the Genesee County Nursing Home in Batavia.
She was born on August 24, 1960 in Yakima, Washington, the daughter of Richard (Kathleen) Shaw of Batavia and the late Barbara Allen Shaw Weyrauch.
Beverly loved family, caring for her cats, golf and having fun talking with her friends. She took great pride that she was the back-up quarterback on one of the first female pro football teams.
Surviving along with her father is her fiancé, Lou Perez of Batavia; a brother, Steven (Clare) Shaw of Corfu; two sisters, Marilyn (Gary) Almeter-Milbrand of Attica and Lori Wright of Morrisville, NC; her aunt, Karen Shaw of Batavia; three nephews, Timothy (Rachel) Almeter of Batavia, Eric (Alexandria Waite) Almeter of LeRoy and Casey Shaw of Corfu; two nieces, Emily and Abby Shaw of Corfu and her great-niece, Evelyn Almeter of LeRoy.
Her husband, Steve Miller, passed away on July 14, 1998. She is also predeceased by her grandparents, Norman and Monica (Merry) Shaw.
Calling hours are Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Bohm-Calarco-Smith Funeral Home, 308 East Main Street, Batavia. Beverly's Memorial Service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Grandview Cemetery, Batavia.
