Batavia - Brian D. Draper, Sr., 53, of Batavia, passed away Tuesday, (January 14, 2014) at his home , in Batavia under the care of HomeCare & Hospice.
Mr. Draper was born December 6, 1960 in Batavia, a son of Charlotte (Gould) Draper of Batavia and the late Charles G. Draper.
Brian served with the National Guard and enjoyed all sports, especially baseball, soccer, and golf. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He liked cars and playing paintball. Most of all, he cherished spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his kind and loving heart.
Surviving along with his mother are his children, Jasmine Draper of VT, Brian Draper, Jr. and Samuel A. Draper both of Batavia; a granddaughter, Emily Sue Paquette of VT; brothers, Jeff (Tammy) Draper of Batavia, Roger (Diane) Draper of Batavia, Chuck (late Wanda) Draper of VT, Dennis (Betty) Draper of LeRoy, Gary Draper of Batavia, and Andrew Draper of W.VA; sisters, Janice Williams of Batavia, Diana Draper of Batavia, and Charlotte (Albert 'Butch') Jepson of Batavia. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Friends may call on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main Street, Batavia, where Brian's Funeral Service will immediately follow calling at 1:00. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Homecare & Hospice, 29 Liberty Street, Suite #6, Batavia, NY 14020 or Genesee Cancer Assistance, Inc., 16 Bank Street, Batavia, NY 14020.
