Rochester - C. Alan Ingalsbe, 93, of Rochester, an advertising manager at General Railway Signal Co., in Rochester, for 35 years prior to his retirement, died suddenly on Friday, September 13, 2013 at his home, in Rochester. He moved to Rochester from the Oakfield area.
Mr. Ingalsbe was born August 15, 1920 in Buffalo, the son of the late Clarence A. and Ruth H. (Hackley) Ingalsbe.
He was a graduate of the State University of New York at Oswego, served during WWII with the US Army Signal Corps, was a member and Lifetime Trustee at the First Baptist Church in Chili, earned his Eagle Scout and was later a Boy Scout leader at Spencer Ripley Church in the 19th Ward. He was a former treasurer of the Rochester Advertising Association.
He is survived by his loving wife, M. Jane (Cooper) Ingalsbe of Chili; 2 daughters, Marcia (James) Jereckos of Webster and Sally (James) Robb of Spencerport; 4 grandchildren, David Jereckos, Jenny (Bill) Squires, Bruce LeRoy and Alex Robb; 3 great-grandchildren, Will, Andrew and Daniel Squires; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 21, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Chili. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Chili, 3182 Chili Ave., Rochester, NY 14624.
