Carrie J. Cory, 71, of Oakfield, passed away on Tuesday (February 21, 2017) at Unity Hospital in Rochester.
Carrie was born August 9, 1945 in Batavia, a daughter of the late Tom and Delphine (Blackchief) Jones.
Carrie owned and operated Cory's Pizza Shop in Basom. She was a member of the Beaver Clan and also volunteered with the American Red Cross. Carrie enjoyed traveling, cooking, crafts, reading, listening to music, being with family and friends and gardening.
Survivors include her son, James Cory of Oakfield; her daughter, Jessica (Bruce) Naas of Oakfield; four brothers, Hiram Jones, Loren Jones, Darwin (Janet) Hill and Malcom Hill, all of Basom; one sister, Audrey Hill of Rochester; her grandchildren, Brett Naas, Chelsea Naas, Erin Naas, Dylan Cory and Alexa Cory, all of Oakfield; a great-granddaughter, Genevieve Delphine Crawford of Oakfield and nieces and nephews, Janet (Mike) Barber of Basom, Leslie (Dean) Cohan of Glenwood, Desi Martinez and John Martinez, both of Rochester and Roger Hill of Basom.
Carrie is predeceased by her husband, Arthur Cory, granddaughter, Julia Cory, brothers, John Paul Jones, William Hill and Murray Hill and her sisters Phyllis Parker and Kathleen Hill.
