Elba - Mr. Christopher W. Blake, Jr., age 21, of Elba, a technician for Z&M Ag and Turf in Oakfield, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2014 at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, in Erie, Pennsylvania.
He was born January 29, 1993 in Batavia, the son of Christopher W. Sr. and Jennifer Slane Blake of Elba.
Chris was a 2011 graduate of Oakfield-Alabama High School, where he played football. Always active and on the go, Chris loved hunting and fishing. He will be remembered as outgoing and someone who enjoyed life, living life to the fullest. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends where he could always be found trying to make people laugh.
Surviving along with his parents are his sister, Samantha Blake of Elba; grandparents, Linda (late Ray) Totten of Elba, Terry (Marsha) Slane of Cloudcroft, New Mexico, late Toni (Malcolm) Scott of Soperton, Georgia and Warren Blake of East Pembroke; his girlfriend, Cady Glor of Oakfield and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Burdett & Sanford Funeral Home, 11 Maple Avenue, Oakfield, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Alabama Cemetery. Please consider memorials to the family.
