Batavia - Mr. Clair J. Albee, 69, of Batavia, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at United Memorial Medical Center.



Mr. Albee was born June 28, 1944 in Batavia, a son of the late Irving and Florence Cook Albee.



A 1962 graduate of Elba Central School, Mr. Albee was a member of Resurrection Parish and coached softball from 1983-1997. He worked for Automotive Corporation, the former LeRoy Machine, for over 30 years.



His wife, Sharon R. Colangelo Albee, passed away on April 20, 2005.



He is survived by his daughters, Amy L. Albee of Albany and Erin M. Albee of Batavia; two brothers, Don A. (Susan) Albee of Statesville, North Carolina and Michael J. Albee of Batavia; four sisters, Carole E. (John E.) Kabel of Black Mountain, North Carolina, Sharon M. (Ronald Sr.) Barone of Stafford, Alanna M. (Lawrence M.) McLeod of California and Jayne A. (Robert L.) Gaebler of Pavilion; two uncles, Alan (Barbara) Cook of Byron and Norman L. (Lorraine) Cook of Michigan; an aunt, Amelita Colangelo of Batavia; his beloved dog, Max and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.



He is predeceased by his sister-in-law, Linda Warner and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Louis (Rita) Colangelo.



Friends may call on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Bohm-Calarco-Smith Funeral Home, 308 East Main Street, Batavia. His Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 303 East Main Street, Batavia. Entombment will be in St. Joseph's Mausoleum.
