Daniel M. Cox

Daniel Martin Cox, 64, of Oakfield NY, passed away unexpectedly on September 6th, 2021. Daniel was predeceased by his father William Cox, his mother Esther Cox, and his older brothers William Cox Jr. and James Cox. He is survived by his brother Thomas Cox (Geri Cox), his sister Nancy Bove (Dale Bove), and his sisters-in-law Kay Cox and Lisa Adour. He is lovingly remembered and will be dearly missed by his many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews, along with his many friends and co-workers. Daniel was a reflective and intellectual man who loved music (he was a gifted musician and singer), nature, photography, and most of all, his ancestral home of Ireland. Daniel’s compassion for others was best reflected in his career choice. His lifelong work as a social worker included supporting those with developmental challenges and those with mental and physical disabilities. He was very passionate about those marginalized by society and very attuned to those most in need. Daniel will be buried with his mother and his father at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church in Ontario NY and his memorial service will be determined at a later date and time and announced via Facebook.
