Churchville - Daniel S. Grastorf, 46, of Churchville, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, (January 11, 2017) in Henrietta.

Mr. Grastorf was born November 15, 1970 in Batavia, the son of Gary G. and Cheryl (Ellison) Grastorf of Churchville.

Daniel was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Parish and worshiped at St. Peter's Church in LeRoy. An avid golfer, he was a member of the Caledonia and Batavia Country Clubs.


Along with golf, he enjoyed hunting, football, scratch offs, attending Sabres and Amerks games. He was a kid at heart. In high school, he was active in the Byron-Bergen Sports Program having wrestled and played soccer. He continued to cheer from the sidelines regularly.


Along with being a devoted husband, Daniel cherished being a father to his two beautiful children. They were the light of his life.

He is survived by his wife, Nicole (Ezzell) Grastorf, whom he married June 8, 2013.

Surviving along with his wife and parents are his son, Brody Truman Grastorf and daughter, Scottie-Lynne Grastorf both of home; his father-in-law, Rene (Kelly Loewke) Ezzell, and mother-in-law, Toni Ezzell both of Bergen; a brother-in-law, Sean (Samantha Burnside) Ezzell of LeRoy; Nicole's Maternal Grandmother, Caroline (late Anthony) Jachimowicz of Batavia. Several cousins also survive.

Friends may call on Sunday and Monday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 51 South Lake Street, Bergen. Danny's Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, (January 17, 2017) at Our Lady of Mercy Parish, St. Peter's Site, LeRoy. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. Burial will be in Mt. Rest Cemetery, Bergen.
