Batavia - David A. German was born June 11, 1942 to the late James and Helen DeLano German in Batavia died Friday, December 18, 2020 at ECMC in Buffalo as a result of a brain bleed two weeks prior.
Dave retired in 1998 from Genesee County Highway Department as a Heavy Equipment Operator after working 30 years. Dave previously worked for DeWitt Concrete and Batavia Machine & Tool. Dave enjoyed traveling and going to casinos with his wife.
Dave was predeceased by his wife of over 57 years, Marjorie, who died September 12, 2020.
Dave is survived by his sons, Scott D. German of Batavia, Jeffery (Julie Amato) German and her daughter Holleyann Amato of Stafford and Michael C. German of Batavia, his dog Buster and grand dogs Zach, Bailey and Jake. Dave was also survived by his sister Janet Brinkman of Batavia and his wife’s siblings Eugene “Jake” Boldt of Elba, Robert (Judy) Norton of Cumming GA, Beverly “Sis” Reamer of Maple Hill NC, Ellsworth “Chubby” (Carol) Norton Jr. of Elba, Joyce “Billie” (Ronald) Sixt of Punta Gorda FL and Linda Richenberg of Brockport, his sister-in-law Maureen German of TN and many nephews and nieces.
Dave was also predeceased by his brother James German and brothers in law Donald Brinkman, Charlie Norton, David Reamer, John Richenberg, Wayne Cole his sisters in law Susan Cole, Ellie Boldt, Josie Gualtieri Boldt, and his favorite dogs Poochie, Beaver, Teddy and Babe.
There are no prior calling hours. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to MercyFlight, 100 Amherst Villa Road, Buffalo, New York 14225.
