Oakfield - David P. Patterson, Jr., 64, of Oakfield, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 26, 2014 at United Memorial Medical Center.
Mr. Patterson was born June 16, 1950 in Batavia, the son of the late David P. Sr. and Cecile Gilliatt Patterson.
A graduate of Oakfield-Alabama High School, he was a dedicated and faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church. An avid hunter and fisherman, Mr. Patterson enjoyed woodworking and carpentry.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Cornwell Patterson, whom he married February 9, 1985; his children, Timothy (Angela) Bennett of Nebraska, Rebecca (Steve) Martin and David P. (fiancée Shannon Pennington) Patterson, III, both of Raleigh, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Matthew and Sarah Bennett, both of Nebraska and Nick and Kaitlyn Martin, both of Raleigh, North Carolina; his sister, Bonnie Caton of Oakfield and her children, Michael, Tim and Todd Caton; along with several other nieces and nephews and his foster brother, Richard Bisig of Batavia.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 3515 Galloway Road, Batavia where services will immediately follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Reed Cemetery, Oakfield.
