Dean Merriman

Batavia - Dean Merriman, 69 of Batavia passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023 at his home in Batavia, NY. Dean was born Sunday, January 3rd, 1954 in Batavia, New York a son of the late Myron Merriman and Marion (Morrison) Merriman. He enjoyed an eclectic variety of music, including Frank Zappa, going to concerts, volunteering at the Byron dig site with his children, camping, walking, and biking. The greatest joys in his life were spending time with his family and his dogs, Buddy and Popeye. Dean was a hard worker all his life; he worked as a machinist and raised two wonderful children. Surviving are his children, Jesse Merriman of Lockport and Heather Merriman of Depew; siblings, Dick Morrison of Batavia and Carol Merriman of Batavia. Burial will be in Byron Cemetery on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 3:00 pm. Arrangements are under the care and direction of H. E. Turner & Co. funeral home.
