Dustin M. Nemec, a practicing Doctor of Pharmacy, passed away on September 25, 2021 from injuries he sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Dustin was born on January 19, 1995 at Highland Hospital in Rochester, NY. While living just 26 years, Dustin accomplished much and will be greatly missed by all his family and friends who loved him dearly.

Dustin graduated third in his class from Elba Central School in 2013. While attending ECS, Dustin participated in football, swimming and tennis. Dustin was also a member of the Boy Scouts of America where he obtained the rank of Life Scout. While in BSA, he participated in Sporterifle and worked at Massawepei Scout Camp, in the Adirondacks, on the archery range.

Dustin attended the University at Buffalo, School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. He graduated Cum Laude, in May of 2020 with the degree of Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD). Dustin started his career as a pharmacist with Tops Friendly Markets. Dustin loved his job and his "work family" and will be remembered for his strong work ethic and commitment to detail when dispensing medications needed to treat illness and improve quality of life. Dustin was always considerate and kind and had a heart of gold. His amazing smile and quick sense of humor will be especially missed.

In Dustin's spare time, he was a great enthusiast and collector of guns and loved target shooting. Dustin was also an avid weight lifter and cyclist.

Dustin is survived by his father and mother, Edward and Karen Nemec of Elba, NY; his brother Dylan (Alexandra Foley) Nemec of Irondequoit, NY; grandparents Kenneth and Joanne Deane of Batavia, NY and many aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends. He will be greatly missed by his faithful, spoiled German Shepherd dog, Dominic.

Dustin is predeceased by grandparents, Emery and Marie Nemec, and cousins, Christopher Ball and Stephanie Konfederath.

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Burdett & Sanford Funeral Home, 11 Maple Ave. in Oakfield. Dustin's Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Friday at St. Padre Pio Parish, 56 Maple Ave., Oakfield. Dustin will be laid to rest in Maple Lawn Cemetery in Elba.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
