Edith L. Robertson
Clearwater, Florida- Mrs. Edith L. Robertson, 84, of Clearwater, Florida, formerly of Stafford, a postal clerk for 27 years at the Stafford Post Office, died Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Morton Plant Hospital, in Clearwater.
Mrs. Robertson was born September 10, 1928 in Batavia, a daughter of the late John and Ada (Hyde) Tenney.
She was a member of Stafford Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed games of chance including scratch off tickets and playing the slot machines. Most of all, she loved being a grandmother.
Her husband, Eddy Robertson, died on November 16, 2008.
Survivors include a son, John Eddy (Shana) Robertson of Corning; 2 daughters, Cheryl (James) Hagan of Idaho and Christe (Joseph) Visalli of Brooksville, FL; a brother, Robert (Jean) Tenney of Batavia; 3grandchildren, Brett (Karen) Facer of Clearwater, FL, Grace Robertson and Hayden Robertson, both of Corning; several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late George Tenney, Thomas Tenney, Marian Cooper, Elizabeth Bunting, Josephine Bruggman and Joyce Borst.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main Street, Batavia, where services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 101 John James Audubon Parkway West, Amherst, NY 14228. Burial will be in Stafford Rural Cemetery in Stafford.
