Edward Barie

Oakfield - Edward G. Barie, 60, of Oakfield, an over the road truck driver for 20 years and worked for Hunt Transportation in Omaha, NE, for the past 7 years, died unexpectedly on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at St. Francis Medical Center, in Grand Island NE.



Mr. Barie was born July 27, 1954 in Batavia, a son of the late Albert and Edna (Miller) Barie.



He was a graduate of Alexander High School, member of Oakfield Alabama Baptist Church, and was an avid hunter.



He was predeceased by his wife, Marie Brumbaugh Barie who died in 2005.



He is survived by his wife, Donna J. (Raillon) Barie, whom he married September 1, 2012; a daughter, JoLynn (Jake) of SC; a son, Richard Barie of SC; 3 stepsons, Rick Drury of Oakfield, William Austin of Rochester and John (Richale) Austin of NV; 3 brothers, Charles (Tamiko) Barie of Elba, Paul (Gail) Barie of SC and Harold (Lisa) Barie of Batavia 4 sisters, Nancy Turner of NC, Jeanne (Michael) Sheehan of NC, Sharon (James) Snyder of FL and Elizabeth (Michael) Algase of Rochester; 3 grandchildren and several beloved nieces and nephews.



Friends may call on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Burdett and Sanford Funeral Home, 11 Maple Ave., Oakfield, NY. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Oakfield-Alabama Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Oakfield Alabama Baptist Church, 2210 Judge Rd, Oakfield, NY 14125. Burial will be in St. Cecelia's Cemetery in Oakfield.
