Edward L. Boring

Batavia - Edward L. Boring, 86, of Batavia, formerly of Alabama, NY, passed away on Friday, January 18, 2019 at Premier Genesee Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, in Batavia. Mr. Boring was born January 26, 1932 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Lynn and Florence McElhoes Boring. Mr. Boring worked for Agway for 30 years. He loved camping and enjoyed going out to eat. He was devoted to his family and especially enjoyed his time with his grandchildren. His wife, Betty A. Roche Boring, passed away in 2006. He is survived by his son, Scott L. (Teri) Boring of Oakfield; his daughter, Tracy A. (Fiancé Dan Thayer) Snyder of East Pembroke; 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Jean Shank. There are no prior visiting hours. Services will be held on Friday, February 1st at 11 a.m. at H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main Street, Batavia.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 1120 South Goodman Street, Rochester, New York 14620. He will be laid to rest in Alabama Cemetery.
