Obituary of Elaine T. Brunette
Batavia - Elaine T. Brunette, 87, of Batavia, formerly of Camillus, passed away Friday, February 22, 2019, at Premier Genesee Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Elaine was born July 13, 1931, in Ilion, New York, the daughter of the late Wilfred Brunette and Vina Yando Brunette.
Elaine was a graduate of Ilion High School, Central City Business Institute in Syracue and a graduate of Onondage Community College. She was a Secretary for the Bond Division of the United States Treasury Department in Syracuse and retired as a claims representative for the Social Security Administration in Syracuse. A member of St. Joseph's Church in Camillus where she made numerous rosaries for the church, she was an avid reader who enjoyed to travel.
She is survived by her brother, Brian W. (Nora) Brunette of Caledonia; nieces and nephews, Mary (Frank) Cannon, Elizabeth (Paul) Hofmaster, Daniel (Stacey) Brunette, Ann (Dale) Adams and Thomas J. Brunette and nine great-nieces and great-nephews.
There will be no visitation. Elaine's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 2nd at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, 303 East Main Street with Fr. James Fugle officiating. She will be entombed in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Elaine's memory may be made to St. Joseph's Regional School, 2 Summit Street, Batavia, New York 14020, Notre Dame High School, 73 Union Street, Batavia, New York 14020 or All Babies Cherished, 445 Ellicott Street, Batavia, New York 14020.
