Elinor H. Krafchak

KRAFCHAK – Elinor H. Age 90, January 24, 2017, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Kenmore Mercy Hospital in Kenmore, NY, beloved wife of 67 years to the late Andrew S. Krafchak; mother of Rev. Barbara K. (Rev. John L.) Tipton, David A. (Karen Battaglia), Todd M. and Nancy L.; grandmother of John A. Tipton; sister of the late Dorothy F. Hawkins, Helen H. Menigat, Roberta H. Beers, and Robert C. Hawkins; also survived by many nieces and nephews.


A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 28 at 11 AM at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 724 Delaware Ave, Buffalo, NY. A reception at the church will immediately follow. Born in Philadelphia, she moved to Buffalo after her marriage and worked before the birth of her children as a teller at M&T Bank on Delaware near Utica; and later as an officer in her husband's business, E & B Holmes Machinery Company until she retired in 1991.


She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and caring daughter to the late Florence Hawkins. She was a 60 year member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
