Batavia - Elsie Carter, 90, of Batavia, a retiree of the Bank of America, passed away Tuesday, (October 28, 2014) at Eastside Nursing Home, in Warsaw.
Ms. Carter was born December 17, 1923 in Batavia, a daughter of the late Charles and Ethel B. (Burns) Carter.
Elsie loved cats and was an avid basketball fan. She also enjoyed watching Giants football, especially Eli Manning.
There will be no prior visitation. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Elsie's name may be made to Volunteers for Animals, PO Box 1621, Batavia, New York 14021. Burial will be in Cary Cemetery, Oakfield.
Arrangements were entrusted to the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main St., Batavia.
