Bethany - Fay E. Smith, 82, of Bethany, passed away Wednesday, (August 5, 2015) at his home, under the care of his family and Home Care & Hospice.
Mr. Smith was born February 25, 1933 in Clearfield, PA, a son of the late Thomas and Sylvia (Thompson) Smith.
He is the husband of Gail (Hargrave) Smith. The two were married in 1977 and spent 41 years together.
Along with his wife, Smitty is survived by his children, Deana (Robert) Metz of SC, April (Richard) Prince of VA, Randy Smith of FL, and Rennie (Sandy) Smith of Attica, grandchildren, Amber, Cameron and Brittany along with several great-grandchildren. A sister, Jeannine (Milford) Bowman of PA also survives.
Fay is preceded in death by a brother, R.K. Smith, a sister, Nancy Sass, a granddaughter, Michelle Luck and a grandson, Tom Raines.
There will be no visitation. Services will be held privately at the convenience of his family. In lieu of flowers the Smith family requests memorial contributions be considered to Crossroads House, PO Box 403, Batavia, NY 14021. www.crossroadshouse.com
