Oakfield - Frank J. Mikolajczyk, Jr., 80, of Oakfield, a retired General Foreman at US Gypsum Co. passed away Sunday, (March 22, 2015) at his home, in Oakfield.



Mr. Mikolajczyk was born February 1, 1935 in Oakfield, a son of the late Frank J. and Mary (Matla) Mikolajczyk, Sr.



Frank was a member of St. Padre Pio Parish and the Oakfield Rod & Gun Club. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, gardener and bread maker.



He was extremely proud of his Polish heritage and took pride in teaching his grandchildren Polish traditions, and singing them silly songs.



Those that knew Frank will remember him as a hardworking, devoted husband, father, and grandfather who was a true do-it-yourselfer.



He is the husband of Barbara (Grower) Mikolajczyk. The two were married in Oakfield on July 11, 1957.

Along with his wife, Frank is survived by his children, Michael Mikolajczyk of Chili, Mark (Shelly) Mikolajczyk of Oakfield, Teresa (Robert) Castleman of S. Alabama, and Thomas (Kimberly) Mikolajczyk of Oakfield; ten grandchildren, Jillian (Dennis) DeMarco of Oakdale, Long Island, Bradley (Natalie) Mikolajczyk of Perinton, Christopher Castleman of Akron, Holly Castleman of S. Alabama, Benjamin Castleman of Batavia, Alyssa Mikolajczyk of Attica, Tyler Schroeder of Oakfield, Morgan Mikolajczyk of Batavia, Austin Schroeder of Oakfield, and Devon Schroeder of Oakfield; three great-grandchildren, Logan and Haley DeMarco of Oakdale, Long Island, and Kailynn Worthington of Spencerport; a sister, Julia (Wilbur) Easton of Oakfield; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Mikolajczyk of PA. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive.

He is preceded in death by his brothers, Henry (late Helen) Mikolajczyk and Victor Mikolajczyk; and a sister, Anna (late Ignatius) Mikolajczyk.



Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Burdett & Sanford Funeral Home, 11 Maple Avenue, Oakfield. Frank's Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, (March 25, 2015) at Saint Padre Pio Parish, St. Cecilia's Site, 56 Maple Avenue, Oakfield.

Burial will be in St. Cecelia's Cemetery, Oakfield.
