Summersville/Bergen - Mr. Frank J. Watson, 64, of Summersville, WV, formerly of Bergen, passed away on Monday, (May 28, 2012) in Charleston, WV following a brief illness.
Mr. Watson was born July 18, 1947 in Batavia, a son of Leah (Rawleigh) Watson of Hornell and the late George Watson.
He was a life time member of the Bergen Fire Department and the Bergen Rod & Gun Club. He served his country honorably with the United States Army during the Korean War. Frank was a true outdoors man and his life's motto was: "Pay it Forward."
His first wife, Eva Bridgeman passed away on May 5, 2008.
Frank is survived by his loving wife, Patricia (Hersman) Watson, whom he married Oct. 5, 2011 in Summersville; two children, Sherry and Eric (Becky) Watson, both of Bergen; three step-children, Pamela Madison, Jeanette Johnson, and Jeffrey Fields, all of West Virginia; six grandchildren, including Melissa Watson of Bergen. Ten siblings and several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his father and first wife, Mr. Watson is preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Parsons.
There will be no prior visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday at 6:00 PM at the Bergen Rod & Gun Club, 6410 North Lake Road, Bergen. Interment took place privately in Summersville, WV.
