Mrs. Gladys Asquith, "Mrs. Magoo", 85, of Batavia, passed away Thursday (October 3, 2013) at United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia.
Mrs. Asquith was born November 23, 1927 in Alfred Station, a daughter of the late Robert and Sarah (Stevens) Ells.
She was a hairdresser and retired from Magoo's Country Inn. Mrs. Asquith was a thirty year member of the American Legion Auxiliary in North Chili.
Survivors include her four children, Robert Bunce of Groveland, Darlene (Timothy) Hinz of Batavia, John Bunce of Dansville and Randall Bunce of Trumansburg; four grandchildren, a great-grandchild and nieces and nephews.
She is the wife of the late Lloyd V. Bunce and William A. Asquith.
Mrs. Asquith's wishes were to have her body donated to the University of Buffalo Medical School for research.
There are no prior calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 31 Washington Ave., Batavia.
