It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gloria Susan Foster, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, friend, and talented beautician, who lost her courageous 18-month battle with pancreatic cancer on Tuesday, February 18th, 2025. She was born on Thursday, June 2nd, 1977, in Batavia, NY.
Not only was Gloria a devoted mother to her five children, but she was "mom" to many others over the years. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome and loved, treating each person who entered her life as family. Gloria's vibrant spirit and zest for life brought joy to all those around her. She was a true jack of all trades in the beauty world, admired for her talent, creativity and dedication to her craft. She took great pride in making every person who sat in her chair feel special, always bringing warmth, laughter and skilled hands to each client. Whether it was a simple trim or a complete makeover, Gloria had a way of making everyone feel confident and beautiful. Her passion for work left a lasting impact on many, and she will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilige to know her.
She is survived by her loving children: Alexander (Hali) Moretti of Corfu, Brittany (Nick Gleiser) Moretti of Alden, Mackenzie (Ryan) Cansdale of Basom, Gabriella Gilligan of Boston, Mass., and Gracee Gibbs of Alexander; her grandchildren: Theodore, Micah, and Dominic Moretti, Landon Moretti, and Paxton Gleiser and Crew Cansdale; her brothers, R. Thomas (late Pat) Neth, Emanuele (Donna) Neth, Robert (Pamela) Neth, Timothy (Beth) Neth, William (Kalle) Neth; her sisters, Deborah (David) Kovach, Donna (John McCormick) Elliott, Mary (Todd) Scoins, Charlotte (Steven) Dixon, Donna Foster-Peters, and Ann (Gary) Link, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was welcomed into heaven with open arms by her father, Donald Foster and her mother, Mildred Voorhees, her brother, John Neth, her sister-in-law, Pat Neth as well as a friend of many years, Michelle Clapp.
Though her time with us was far too short, Gloria's impact on those will never fade. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who were touched by her kindness, generosity and strength.
A celebration of Gloria's life will be held on June 7, 2025, with further details to be shared. She will be laid to rest in Grandview Cemetery, Batavia, where she will be reunited with her family in eternal peace. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to establish a trust fund for her adolescent children.
Rest in paradise, Mom. You were loved beyond words and will be missed more than you could ever imagine.
