Mr. James P. Wakeman, 39, of Corfu, an assembler and tester at Great Batch, LTD in Clarence, died Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at Medina Memorial Health Care System, in Medina.
Mr. Wakeman was born March 23, 1973 in Batavia, a son of William and Beverly (Smith) Wakeman, both of Alabama.
He was a member of Alabama Full Gospel Fellowship where he served on the Praise and Worship Team. He graduated from Oakfield Alabama High School in 1991and graduated in 1996 with his Bachelors Degree in Mathematics from Brockport State. He enjoyed Seattle Seahawks football, Olympic sports, and Sabres hockey.
Survivors along with his parents are his brother, Daniel W. (Catherine) Wakeman of Dryden; his sister, Rebecca Jane (Samuel) McDowell of Iowa; 5 nephews, Caleb Wakeman, David Wakeman, Bryan Wakeman and Alexander Wakeman, all of Dryden and Benjamin McDowell of IA; a niece, Rachel McDowell of IA; 3 uncles, Dave Wakeman of Akron, Ronald Smith of New York City and David Smith of MA; an aunt, Deena Dunning of WA.
