LeRoy - Jane L. Roth Butler Howard, 94, of LeRoy, formerly of Stafford, Thursday, December 11, 2014 at LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home, in LeRoy.
Mrs. Howard was born June 21, 1920 in Rochester, the daughter of the late George and Minerva (Brown) Jacobus.
She graduated from Brockport Normal School, was a member of Alabama Basom United Methodist Church and, as a home maker, "she had a quiet pride for her family". She enjoyed sewing and music.
She was the wife of the late Paul Roth who died in 1978, Carlton Butler who died in 1991 and Bernard Howard who died in 2003.
Survivors include a son, Mark (Laurie) Roth of Amherst; four daughters, Sandra (Dennis) Gillett of Bergen, Lucille (AMZ) Roth of Buffalo, Linda (late John) Sanders of West Bethany and Sharon (Lloyd) Clark of East Bethany, two step daughters, Donna (Lawrence) Karas of Churchville and Norma (Edward) Penczek of OH; 13 grandchildren, several step-grandchildren, several great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews including Carole Kerr and Nancy Jacobus.
She was the sister of the late John Jacobus.
Friends may call on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. at H.E. Turner & Co, Inc., 403 E. Main St., Batavia, where services will be at 11 a.m., Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sunshine Fund at LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home, 10 Munson St., Leroy, NY 14482 or to a charity of the donor's choice. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff of the Leroy Village Green Nursing Home for their years of love and caring. Private burial will be in Morganville Cemetery, Stafford.
