Elba - Jean completed her life on February 5, 2014 and now lives in the hearts and memories of those who love her forever.
Mrs. Hare was born September 15, 1929 in Batavia, the daughter of the late Lester and Blanche Balfour Gillard.
A lifelong Elba resident, Jean was a graduate of Elba Central School and Keuka College. She was a longtime teacher at Elba Central School. She was also a dedicated and faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church of Elba. For many years she volunteered at the Salvation Army in Batavia.
