Oakfield - Jessie M. Boyd, 62, of Oakfield, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2015 at Buffalo General Hospital.
Mrs. Boyd was born May 16, 1952 in Batavia, a daughter of the late Jesse Manes and Louise Gray Manes Stevens.
She enjoyed going to the casino and Las Vegas with her husband and sisters. Jessie will be remembered by her family as a prankster. She faithfully attended her grandson's sports activities, enjoyed going to bingo and loved taking walks with her dog, Gizzy.
She enjoyed working with individuals as a residential aide at the Genesee County ARC.
She is survived by her husband, Donald R. Boyd, whom she married December 25, 1980; her children, Thomas Satkowski of Erlanger, Kentucky and Amanda (Fiancé Marques Huston) Boyd of Oakfield; two grandchildren, Samantha Satkowski and Tayvon Boyd; a brother, Donald Manes of Oakfield; five sisters, Brenda Baker of Oakfield, Linda (Damian) Mangee of Batavia, Joyce Rapone of Batavia, Denise (Mark) Bischoff of Oakfield and Michelle (Barry) Shade of Byron; her sister-in-law, Barbara Greck of Batavia; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was predeceased by her sister Sandy (Frank) Mathe.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Burdett & Sanford Funeral Home, 11 Maple Avenue, Oakfield, where Jessie's services will follow at 7 p.m. Burial will be in Cary Cemetery. Please consider memorials in her name to her family.
