Bergen - John F. "Jack" Robinson, 74, of Bergen, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 24, 2016 at Unity Hospital.

Mr. Robinson was born August 21, 1942 in Bergen, a son of the late Carl and Helen Sherman Robinson.

A longtime employee of the Village of Bergen's Department of Public Works, Jack was instrumental in developing, operating and maintaining Robinson's Driving Range and Golf Course. He loved mowing lawns, golfing, hunting and watching wrestling. He enjoyed trips to Batavia Downs, going to the Rose Garden to play Quick Draw with his son and the daily "outings" he took with his wife, Shirley.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Davis Robinson, whom he married March 29, 1962; his children, John Robinson of Bergen, David (Kelli) Robinson of Churchville, Paul Robinson of Bergen, Todd (Karen Crusoe) Robinson of Livonia and Teresa (Jay) Whalin of Bergen; eight grandchildren, Jennifer, Ryan, Sam, Heidi, Justin, Nick, Josh and Brett; four brothers: Robert (Barb) Robinson of Churchville, Ralph (Barb) Robinson of Bergen, Melvin (Cyndy) Robinson of Florida and James (Lori) Robinson of Batavia; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is the father of the late Richard L. Robinson who passed away on April 29, 2004, grandfather of the late Christopher L. Miller who died on August 22, 2003 and brother of the late Carl Robinson.

Friends may call on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 51 South Lake Avenue, Bergen. Graveside services will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m.at Mount Rest Cemetery, Bergen. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bergen Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 428, Bergen, New York 14416.
