John W. Jackson, 75, of Oakfield, died Thursday (February 5, 2015) at his home in Oakfield.
John was born April 3, 1939 in West Point, GA, a son of the late John and Bessie Lee (Glaze) Jackson.
John enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and collecting model cars and was a farmer with My T Acres in Batavia.
Survivors include his children, Sheila (Johnie) Holley of Albion, Kevin (Carrie) Jackson of Batavia, Derrick (Judith) Jackson of Batavia, Carolyn (Kenny) Griffin of Batavia, Priscilla McNair of Batavia, Cathy (Gerald) Mack of Batavia, Renee (Steven) Nesbitt of Batavia and Charles Rolle of Albion; his girlfriend, Ethel McNair of Batavia; one brother, Willie B. Jackson of Atlanta, GA; one sister, Minnie Pearl Trice of West Point, GA; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his wife, Mary Jackson and a daughter, Rhonda Ford Rolle.
Calling hours are Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Burdett & Sanford Funeral Home, 11 Maple Avenue, Oakfield. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the conclusion of calling hours also at the funeral home. Burial will be in Cary Cemetery, Oakfield.
