Joseph Cirillo, 90, of Alexander, died Thursday (May 10, 2012) at the Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center in Haines City, Florida.
Mr. Cirillo was born February 12, 1922 in Batavia, a son of the late Anthony and Antoinette (Cecere) Cirillo.
Joseph was a veteran serving with the United States Army 2nd Armored Division during World War II. A member of Ascension Parish, Mr. Cirillo worked construction for many years and also worked at Alexander Central School. He enjoyed golfing and bowling.
He is survived by his wife, Frances (Parise) Cirillo of Alexander; a daughter, Linda Jestin of Baldwinsville; a son, Charles (Joan) Cirillo of Batavia; a sister, Josephine Cirillo of Williamsville; four grandchildren, one great-grandchild and three nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his first wife, Betty Jean (Baker) Cirillo and his three brothers, Paschal Cirillo, Alphonso Cirillo and Vincent "Jimmy" Cirillo.
