South Byron - June L. Eichenberger, 83, of South Byron, passed away Wednesday, (June 8, 2016) at the Genesee County Nursing Home, in Batavia.
Mrs. Eichenberger was born January 10, 1933 in Batavia, a daughter of the late James and Annie (Hunt) Ball.
June enjoyed gardening, traveling, and making new friends. She was a person of strong will; and you always knew exactly where you stood with her.
She was the wife of the late Robert N. Eichenberger, who passed away on October 3, 2012.
Surviving are her sons, Mitchell (Patti) Eichenberger of Bergen, Richard (Kathleen) Eichenberger of Hamlin, and Steven (Jeanette) Eichenberger of Williamson; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Norma (late Jack) Cunningham of Bergen; and a niece, Carol (Joe) Grasso of Batavia.
She is preceded in death by her siblings, Harry (late Mary) Ball, Dorothy (late Roy) Rupert, and Bill Hunt.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 10 to 12 p.m. at H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main St., Batavia. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crossroads House, P.O. Box 403, Batavia, NY 14021.
