Kevin L. Squire, 58, of Batavia, died peacefully Sunday, (December 6, 2015) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
Kevin was born February 25, 1957 in Batavia, a son of Vincent E. and Irma J. (Shuknecht) Squire of Batavia.
Kevin was a graduate of Elba Central School and worked alongside his father and brothers in the family construction business, V. Squire & Sons for over 40 years. He was an avid golfer, loved to cook and was especially known for his homemade soups, and was a diehard SU fan. He had an infectious laugh and treasured spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving along with his parents are his wife, Lori A. DiFilippo of Batavia; two sons, Brett L. (Emily) Squire of Chapel Hill, NC and Jeremy K. Squire of Tucson, AZ; a sister, Jeanne (Sam) Tambe of Oakfield; two brothers, Randall (Nancy) Squire of Batavia and Timothy (Cheryl) Squire of Bergen; a sister-in-law, Kim (Jim) Turman of Batavia; a brother-in-law, Richard DiFilippo of Batavia; his father-in-law, Carmen (Penny) DiFilippo; nephews, JV (Missy) Aquino and Taylor Squire; nieces, Stacy L. Squire, Jamie Turman and Jessica Turman; a grandniece, Ally Aquino; his beloved rescue dog, Khloe and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Kevin is predeceased by his brother, Larry V. Squire, nephew Zachary D. Squire and mother-in-law Maxine M. DiFilippo.
Calling hours are Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main Street, Batavia. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday also at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family or Volunteers For Animals, P.O. Box 1621, Batavia, NY 14020.
