Bergen - Laurie D. Stevenson, 51, of Bergen, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, (November 24, 2015) at her home, in Bergen.
Mrs. Stevenson was born August 29, 1964 in Newfane, a daughter of Luella (Hamilton) Milam of Corfu and the late Luther Milam.
Laurie was a very kind, caring person. She loved animals, especially cats and dogs and attended City Church, in Batavia. She greatly enjoyed baking and cooking; and had a dream of one day opening her own catering business.
She is the wife of Ralph E. Stevenson, whom she married October 22, 2005.
Surviving along with her husband and mother are her children, Christopher (Alicia) Milam of Lancaster, and Sara (Darrin) Coates of Wellsville; grandchildren, Jack and Rose Marie Coates; brothers, Ronald Milam of OH, David (Sandy) Milam of VA, and Mark Milam of Corfu; a sister, Barbara Josey of Corfu. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
She is preceded in death by an infant sister.
Friends may call on Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 51 South Lake Street, Bergen, where Laurie's funeral service will immediately follow calling at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Volunteers For Animals, P.O. Box 1621, Batavia, NY 14021.
