Lonnie B. Daily, age 58 of Alabama, died suddenly on Friday, May 11, 2012. Lonnie was born September 20, 1953 in Rochester, a son of the late William and Hazel (Hultz) Daily. He attended the Oakfield - Alabama Baptist Church.
At an early age, at the encouragement of his mother, he began and continued playing drums. He played in various rock and country bands over the years and was presently with the Craig Wilkins Band. Lonnie was a passionate person who enjoyed many other hobbies, as well. His love for God and his family were often his inspiration, as he enjoyed writing poetry and photography. Those who knew Lonnie best, knew that he never gave up the chance to rescue a dog, take a long drive, detail a car, and of course enjoy a Pepsi! His love for his children and grandchildren was evident everywhere he went. Lonnie worked as the head of maintenance for the Batavia Agri-Business Child Development in Batavia. He enjoyed his work at The Center and always found time to help anyone in need. He treasured the many lasting relationships he formed while working there.
Lonnie's survivors include a daughter, Carie (Jonathan) Rogers of Brockport; a son, Lonnie B. Daily II of Williamsville; 2 grandchildren, Lucas Rogers and Samuel Rogers, both of Brockport; his loving fiance', Jean Ferris of Alabama and her children, Amy Scroger, Sam (Sheri) Ferris and Travis Ferris and their children. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends. He was the brother of the late Hazel "Sissy", Gerald, Gregory, Dwight and Roger Daily.
