Obituary of Lorie Goff
Rochester - Lorie Goff, 58, of Rochester, senior financial analyst for Ortho Clinical Diagnostics in Rochester, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at her home.
Lorie was born May 16, 1962, in Batavia, daughter of Marguerite Park Goff of Batavia and the late Robert A. Goff.
Lorie and her husband “Shorty” spent winters in West Palm where she loved reading books by the beach and listening to the sounds of the ocean. She enjoyed day trips attending festivals and exploring the beauty of Western New York during the summers. Lorie had the “Midas Touch” when it came to the penny slots and always shared her winnings with loved ones and charities. Lorie thoroughly loved to work and spend time with her co-workers. She especially enjoyed family gatherings, happy hours and dinner parties with friends. Lorie approached her whole life with a positive attitude toward challenges, including her battle with pancreatic cancer. She was a selfless, loving, and charitable person. Anyone who considered themselves a friend of Lorie’s has been truly blessed.
Surviving along with her mother include her husband Greg Frielinghaus of Rochester whom she married March 27, 2014; two brothers: Stephen Goff of Elba and James (Ellen) Goff of Oakfield; her brother-in-law: Chris (Barb Beall) Frielinghaus of Queensbury; her aunt: Betty Monagan of Batavia; two nieces: Jessica (Keith) Kertman of Palmyra and Elizabeth Goff of Oakfield; her nephew: William Frielinghaus of Seattle, Washington and her great-niece: Cali Kertman. Lorie is also survived by her cat: Cassie.
Friends may call from 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Monday at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main Street, Batavia, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday with Rev. Patrick J. Wilson officiating. Private burial will be in Mt. Albion Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Lorie's memory may be made to the Dear Jack Foundation (for childhood and adolescent cancer)
