Lucille M. Wilcrout

Lucille M. (Peggy) Wilcrout 92, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 24, 2025 at United Memorial Hospital in Batavia.
Born December 4, 1932, in Batavia, a daughter of the late Martin Kearns and Mary Brundage Kearns.

Her loving husband Harry E. Wilcrout passed away in 1999.

All of her siblings predeceased her: brothers, Richard, Vernon and Rolland Kearns, and sisters, Joan Boyce and Florence Jones, and special nieces Peggy Norway and Brenda Boyce.

Survivors include: son, James R. LaPorte and daughter and caregiver, Linda LaPorte. Surviving are many nieces and nephews, especially close-knit family members, the Boyce family, Debbie and Mike Yaeger, and Terry Jones, all who loved their Aunt Peg.

Known as Peggy, she worked for WNY OTB for many years before retiring. She enjoyed meeting many friends and neighbors for weekly luncheons and cards at the Batavia Senior Center and the Salvation Army, where she proudly sang "God Bless America" before the prayer and meal.

Per her wishes there are no services.
