Margaret C. Parker, beloved Mother, Aunt, Great-Aunt, Grand-Mother, Great-Grandmother and friend, passed away on Thursday, June 27th, 2024 in Gasport, NY.
She was born on Friday, November 27th, 1931 in Elba, New York, a daughter of the late Andrew and Evelyn (Wigton) Pridmore.
Margaret was a dedicated member of the First Presbyterian Church of Elba Choir and actively participated in church activities. She was an avid baseball fan and could be seen regularly in the stands watching the Batavia Muckdogs.
Margaret married the love of her life, Donald Parker, in 1962 and enjoyed many happy years together until his passing in 1999. She raised up a wonderful son and was a loving grandmother. She was an Industrial Engineer at Sylvania in Batavia until it closed in 1982. She then worked as a clerk at State Farm in Batavia. She went to work as a Switchboard Operator at Orleans Correctional Facility in Albion, New York, until her retirement.
Friends and family are invited to visitation from 10:00am to 11:00am on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at the First Presbyterian Church of Elba, followed by a funeral service at the First Presbyterian Church of Elba, then burial in Maple Lawn Cemetery, Elba.
Margaret is survived by her son, Christopher (Susan) Parker; Grandchildren Christian Parker of Batavia, Makenzie Parker of Blasdell, and Cooper Parker, of Oakfield, NY; Great-Grandchild Elias Parker of Blasdell; Melissa Barone of Oakfield and many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Andrew Pridmore, mother, Evelyn Pridmore, spouse, Donald D. Parker, and siblings Linda Pridmore, Jeanette Pridmore, Faye Barone, Allan Pridmore, Raymond Pridmore, and Lawrence Pridmore.
