Margaret "Maggie" Mary Robbins, 83, of Rochester and formerly of Byron, died Friday (June 13, 2014) after a brief illness.
Maggie was born August 24, 1930 in Buffalo, a daughter of the late Hebert P. and Cecilia (Zeiss) Rung.
A member of Saint Padre Pio Parish, Maggie was a lifetime member of the Batavia Area Herb Society. She loved gardening, plants and flowers. Maggie enjoyed poker, bocce and yoga at her retirement community.
Survivors include her children, Karen (Douglas) Kenyon of Pavilion, Gretchen Mittelstaedt of West Henrietta and William (Laurie) Robbins of Manlius; three grandchildren, Cecilia Kenyon, Emily Mittelstaedt and Thomas Robbins; a sister, Celine (Ido) Turri of Cheektowaga and nieces and nephews.
She is the wife of the late Thomas W. Robbins and sister of the late Teresa Kucharski.
There are no prior calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at St. Padre Pio Parish, Our Lady Of Fatima Worship Site, 65 South Main St., Elba. Burial will be in Byron Cemetery, Byron.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for future charitable considerations
