Jamestown - Mary Helen Wiedrich, "Mrs. Mary", 80, of Jamestown and formerly of Batavia, passed peacefully at home on October 10, 2014, surrounded by her family.



She was born July 10, 1934 in Batavia, to the late Ezra and Julia (Beecher) Votry.



Mary was retired from the Pembroke Central School System. She enjoyed trips to the casino, spending time with her grandchildren and knitting, especially baby blankets, hats and sweaters for newborn babies.



She is survived by her husband, Robert J. Wiedrich of Batavia, whom she married on April 16, 1955 and made a loving home for 59 years.



Mary is also survived by her children, Diana (Douglas) German of Batavia, Scott Wiedrich of Jamestown and Lori Ingels of Phoenix, AZ; two grandsons, Timothy German of Buffalo and Christopher Dawson of Phoenix, AZ; a sister-in-law, Lucille Votry of Rochester and several nieces and nephews.



She was predeceased by her three brothers, Robert, Howard (Marilyn) and Richard (Ethel) Votry.



Calling hours are Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main Street, Batavia. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, also at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Pam S. Klotzbach of the First United Methodist Church of Batavia. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery, Batavia.
