Alexander - Matthew James Hamm-Johnson, 45, of Alexander, a yard manager at Jacobson Companies in Batavia, Thursday, November 27, 2014 at his home in Alexander.
Mr. Hamm-Johnson was born January 9, 1969 in Lewiston, a son of Nancy and Donald Hamm-Johnson of GA.
A 1987 graduate of Pembroke High School, he was an avid sportsman and outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy (Pinson) Hamm-Johnson, whom he married on November 10, 2007; James Dinsmore of Grand Island; 5 children, Amanda (Mark) Crosby of OH, Kayla Hamm-Johnson of GA, Gregory Hamm-Johnson of Alexander, Daniel (Victoria) Hamm-Johnson of Pembroke, Jessica Hamm-Johnson of OH; a step-daughter, Autumn Gaylord of Alexander; 4 grandchildren, Quentin, Bryson, Mykah and Kayden; his step-mother Bernice Dinsmore of Getzville; mother-in-law Bonnie Pinson of Rochester; 5 brothers and sister, Krista (David) Stryker of Tonawanda, Susan Johnson of NC, Linda (Duffy) Schultz of Owego, Donald (Sandy) Johnson of NC and Ada Dinsmore of FL; several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Eric Hamm Johnson, son-in-law of the late James Pinson and grandson of the late Frederick and Ardys Hamm.
