Batavia - Maureen Roberta Feary, 94, of Batavia, passed away Wednesday, (January 27, 2021) at LeRoy Village Green in LeRoy.
She was born November 5, 1926 in London, England, a daughter of the late Robert Benjamin and Ethel May Rundle.
Mrs. Feary was a member of the Batavia First Presbyterian Church. She was a former employee of St. Jerome Hospital and Applied Business Systems. She was a prolific knitter and provided hats, mittens, gloves, scarves, blankets, and sweaters to many. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing, and reading.
She is predeceased by her husband, William T. Feary; brothers Jack Phillips and Ron Phillips; a sister, Sheila Bowthorpe Sutherland; and son-in-law, James D. German.
Surviving are her children, Maureen German of Knoxville, Tenn., Brenda (Richard) Galliford of Batavia, William T. Feary, Jr. of Batavia, Geoffrey (Maureen) Feary of Rochester, Lynn (Michael) Dobbertin of Batavia, and Nancy Feary Havens of Batavia; grandchildren, Ian (Erica) Jermy, Melanie (Dan) Grubb, Jonathan (Sharon) German, Jennifer Blaszak, Katie (Scott) Neff, Sarah (Greg) Emerson, Meredith (Mark) Szcepanski, Emma Feary, Abigail Dobbertin, and Noah Dobbertin. 11 great-grandchildren also survive.

Family and friends may call on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Bohm-Calarco-Smith Funeral Home, 308 East Main Street in Batavia. Maureen's funeral service will be held privately for the family. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Batavia.
