Myrtle J. Hyde
Batavia - Myrtle J. Hyde, 90, of Batavia, former waitress at the VFW in Batavia, died Monday, March 4, 2013 at Genesee County Nursing Home.
Mrs. Hyde was born June 16, 1922 in Yorkshire, a daughter of the late Claude and Margaret (Charles) Richardson.
She was a member of the Veness Strollo Post 1602 VFW Auxiliary.
Her husband, Avery Hyde, died in 1991.
Survivors include a son: Alan (Kathy) Hyde of Byron, 5 daughters, Gloria Klein of PA, Sue (Paul) Cocuzzi of Holley, Linda (Ivan) Camerera of SC, Cathy Hyde of Albion, and Terry (William) Dixon of NC; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She is the mother of the late Gary Paul Hyde who died in 1961 and sister of the late Olive Strollo.
Friends may call on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. at H.E. Turner & Co., Funeral Home, 403 E. Main St., Batavia. Services will be private. Burial will be in West Bethany Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family.
