Nelson A. Foley, 83, of Batavia, passed away on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Hildebrandt Hospice Care Facility in Rochester.
Nelson was born June 30, 1937 in Moira, a son of the late Ross and Marian (Bowman) Foley, Sr.
A member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Batavia, Nelson loved racing, watching wrestling, tinkering on cars and jigsaw puzzles. Nelson worked at the former P.W. Minor & Sons Shoe Factory in Batavia.
Surviving are his step-children, Karen (Randy) Becker of Corfu and Brian (Wendy) Smith of East Bethany; brothers, Donald (late Mary Margaret) Foley of Spencerport and Dennis (Betty) Foley of LeRoy; a sister-in-law, Janette Foley of Warsaw; step-grandchildren, Jason Becker, Stacy Malone, Sarah Malone and Samuel Malone, eight step-great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Preceded in death by his wife, Shirley M. Foley, a brother, Ross Foley, Jr. and a sister, Loretta (late Ed) Loranty.
Calling hours are Friday from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 31 Washington Ave., Batavia, where services will be held on Friday at 1:00. He will be laid to rest in Evergreen Hill Cemetery, Corfu.
