Batavia - Pauline L. Hamilton, age 86, of Batavia, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 21, 2019 at Crossroads House. Mrs. Hamilton was born November 18, 1932 in Batavia, a daughter of the late Anthony and Florence Puccio Ficarella. A member of Resurrection Parish, Mrs. Hamilton was an account clerk at Western New York OTB in Batavia for 18 years. She enjoyed crafts, flowers and crocheted many afghans for her family. Her husband, Frederick B. Hamilton, Sr. passed away on December 12, 2003. Survivors include three sons, Frederick B. Jr. (Cindy) Hamilton and Michael Hamilton both of Batavia and Phillip (Chris Kennedy) Hamilton of Warsaw; two daughters, Deborah (Mike) Deni of Batavia and Paula (Norman) Ernst of Ohio; 16 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is the mother of the late Kathleen and Christal Hamilton; grandmother of the late Peter J. Scalia and sister of the late Al, Sr., Frank, Sam and Charles Ficarella, Mary Barone, Rose Schiavi and Florence DeFreze. Friends may call on Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Bohm-Calarco-Smith Funeral Home, 308 East Main Street, Batavia. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 18 Ellicott Street, Batavia. Entombment will be in St. Joseph’s Mausoleum.
